GETTING TO KNOW YOUR COACHES

Ideal weight loss is staffed with exceptionally caring and dedicated coaches who have each had success on the Ideal Protein Program. Our coaches work directly with our medical supervisor, Dr. Brandon, to ensure that they are providing the best advice to ensure your success on the program.  Motivated to "pay it forward," our coaches are committed to helping you become the ideal you.

Jackie

After battling weight issues for as long as I can remember nothing has worked and changed my life like Ideal Protein.
After achieving my goal, I was inspired to help others work towards their wellness goals. I enjoy every minute
working with our clients and helping them learn and support them. I feel like the community we have built here in Ballard
is truly amazing. Outside of coaching, I love spending time with my husband and two teenage boys and all the craziness
that comes with that journey, cooking, going to concerts, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Michele

After reaching my personal weight loss goal through the Ideal Protein protocol, I've been privileged to guide clients through their own journeys at the Ideal Weight Loss Ballard clinic. It is rewarding to see others achieve amazing results with their last diet ever! I'm a lifelong Ballard resident. I enjoy gardening, knitting, cooking, and spending time boating with my family.

Susan

I came to Ideal Protein at one of the lowest points in my life (and highest body weights). I had struggled with my weight most of my adult life and had been on just about every weight loss plan, but was never able to maintain the weight loss. I was feeling hopeless about losing weight again.

Ideal Protein changed my life. Not only did I lose more than 100 pounds but more importantly I have maintained the weight loss. One of the best things about working at our clinic is to see clients have similar success. It’s so inspiring. I love the culture of support and encouragement at our clinic that starts with Dr. Brandon and our coaches.

I’m recently retired from my work as a nurse. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family just hanging out or going to movies and concerts. I’m a big sports fan (a Mariners season ticket holder which indicates some ability for optimism on my part). One thing I know for sure is that my life is richer and fuller since my weight loss.

Alex

A recent PNW transplant, Alex comes to Seattle from Manhattan, where she lived for 12 years, working in sales and business development. After discovering her passion for nutrition, along with her unwavering desire to help people, she became certified as a health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and has been running her business, HealthywithAlex, for over two years.

With expertise in running weight loss programs for her clients, as well as for Ideal Protein, Alex is intimately aware of the struggles around achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Applying cognitive behavioral therapy, external accountability measures, and intuitive eating approaches, she helps clients to change their habits and reimagine their relationship to food and themselves. She is thrilled to join the Ballard team to provide clients with a comprehensive, and most importantly, personalized approach to wellness. She believes that a multi-pronged, integrative paradigm is the only way to truly support clients in their pursuit of health and vibrancy.

Outside the office, Alex can be found hiking any of the Greater Seattle area trails, and basically doing anything active and outdoors. She also loves traveling to exotic locales, visiting friends and family around the country, skiing, scuba diving, and showing people around her amazing new city! And she loves to cook and help others learn how to meal prep, as well.

Peter Brandon, MD

I’ve been in private practice since 1993. I am a board certified OB/Gyn and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. I have focused my practice on overall women’s health and aesthetics for the past 5 years. I’m married with two teenage daughters and an Australian Shepherd named Freckles. I live in Seattle. I was trained at the University of Washington School of Medicine. I started Ballard Women’s Health in 2008, a private practice dedicated to women’s health. My areas of interest include prevention, current treatment strategies for abnormal or heavy periods, contraception, and management of abnormal Paps, and management of the menopause and the peri-menopause. I generally have a holistic approach to health maintenance. I keep my patients up to date on current information in women’s health.

Why Ideal Protein? I had been attempting for years to bring a weight management program into our clinic. We tried a few times but it never really caught on. Then I was introduced to Ideal Protein and once I attended my first open house at an existing clinic. It all made perfect, scientific sense to me and I immediately knew I had found what I had been searching for. We have been running Ideal Protein out of my medical clinic for two and half years and I couldn’t be happier with all the good our team has had in a goal to improve overall health with weight loss.
